Description

This corkscrew without question the lord, surely among is sophisticated corkscrews, the system with double action was patented in 1802 by Sir Edward Thomason (1769-1849), the “must” the stopper is withdrawn automatically from the worm. The system with double screw pitch makes it possible to extract easily the stopper by a simple screwing uninterrupted, always in the same direction. Intended to reduce the physical effort, it makes it possible to carefully open the bottle all. A first screw actuated by the handle in bone penetrates in the cork, and when it arrives in thrust, the second actuates it to make reassemble the cork. The machining of these parts is of a high degree of accuracy and English manufactures made their floret of it. The red copper bell is decorated with the United Kingdom emblem, an unicorn and a lion with the currency “ HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE”. Today Thomason type system are still nowadays manufactured
