This corkscrew is also known in England "London Rack" or the "rack and pinion" the name of a model patented in the 19th century. On the oldest was the comb plate, it was replaced by a rod round ring, as this model. The operating principle is as follows: when the fuse has entered the cork, turn the handle side (still steel) to make up the worm through a small gable stayed in the top of the cage open. The magnificent round of this model is bone, despite his age and a few accidents, it remains the main attraction of this corkscrew which retains a beautiful patina.
